an unofficial SCCC fansite
The legs for the header image are here. This is just a silly little hack to get them to display properly. Well done for looking at the code anyways :P
January 200724th JanThere hasn't been much happening here of real note the past few days so sorry about that! Simon has been busy geekifying behind the scenes but he has done so i such a was as to not affect anything other than how the site work and we're sure you don't give a hoo-oo about that. You won't care but in the last few days, Jemmifer (Myspace correspondent) has been doing an exam and Simon has bought and listened to a cLOUDDEAD album because of a Seal Cub recommendation. He says: "Like woah! You can totally hear how they influenced Oblong!" He went on to say that people should buy a cLOUDDEAD cd to give them something to listen to whilst waiting for the SCCC long player. Simon's recommendation aside, you should really only look into it if you enjoy the weirder Club moments or you are a SCCC fangirl. Not recommended so much for peeps who just enjoy the more poptastic tunes. Here at I Tried On Your Wedding Dress, we don't get enough emails from readers. We're pissed off about this so if you can spot the reference in this post to band that isn't The Seal Cub Clubbing Club then we'll send you a Valentines goody bag (some Lovehearts and a ripped off poem probably). So go ahead and get in touch! 19th JanOur MySpace correspondent, Jennifererer received a bulletin from the band earlier and this is what it said... "you'll notice in our top friends a man named Jon's Hand. Jon Owen will be providing artwork for our debut album, check his shit out! you may recognise the style from the 'world of fashion' single', featuring a deer which may or may not be someone famous. Can you guess who?" Here at I Tried On Your Wedding Dress we obviously knew this already, although we're not quite sure how, nevermind though. So back to the important bit, can you guess who it is? If you're not sure what it looks like, take a peak at the banner at the top of the page. 18th JanBloody hell there's been a lot going on here. Too many pages to mention have had their information updated and there are a few new pages as well but as no-one will have seen the old ones yet there is no point in pointing them out. We're currently half way through making a proper gig archive, we've got information on all the S.C.C.C gigs ever and well that should be done soon, it'll give you a reason to come back :PAlso a big thank you to the band for their help with the making of this site, we've just been mentioned on the Seal Cub Myspace which is ace to the max. 16th JanNot Seal Cubs news but worth a mention anyways, just read that Boon(e) band, White Trash ana Half Cast received quite a positive review in this months Fly magazine. The bit on them can be read here. 15th Jan
Site finished. Hoorah! 14th JanBand pages done, just the gig bit that hasn't been done. 13th JanThe site is nearly finished now, just got to sort out the band pages tomorrow and we'll be all done, hoorah! 12th JanSite design is nearly finished, just got to sort out the top image and the column widths. Draft content done so shouldn't be long till this is ready to go online. 11th JanThe site has just been started! 20th Jan
Hollah! The Fundamentals is a new song that has been added to the archive which we know very little about, so if you happen to know anything about it then please give us a shout. We suspect that it could have had a name change and so it might be appearing on the album under a different guise. 21st JanWe're very sorry if you attempted to get onto the site earlier today but were unable to do so, there was a small hiccup with the hosting and so the site was down for bit. Never mind eh, we're back again now.22nd JanIt's been a bit of a slog but we've got there, the gigs database is up and running and waiting for some nice new tour dates to be announced. Also, the links page has been updated with lots of snazzy new links for your clicking pleasure. Our Myspace correspondent, Jenifurry, has fed through dramatic happenings from The SCCC bulletin machine... Someone has had a dream! Rapping? Going to the girls toilets? Plastic windows? Someone's been eating too much cheese before going to bed. On another subject completely, isn't whatsthatinthechamberwithme??? a proper tune? Well it is and that was rhetorical. Have a nice day. 28th JanOur Myspace correspondent, Jennifurry, has got in contact with some rather good news from the Seal Cub camp. It looks like there will be a tour of el country during February/March which is top news! Apparently gigs are confirmed at Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool and Londinium. Hopefully there will be a few more added around the country to flesh it out (a mini-tour of the Midlands in the middle of the rest would be wonderful) and we'll be up on the news as it happens. By the sounds of the bulletin there might be a special Wirral gig as well which sounds jolly exciting, as does the prospect of a The SCCC club night. More details on both of these as we find out. The album is still due in late April so fingers crossed that the release date doesn't slip. It's a proper exciting time to be a SCCC fan it seems with everything happening at the moment, should be a good few months. 29th JanThe official website has had a bit of a makeover! It looks like a bit of a taster for when it is finished properly but it looks very snazzy indeed at the moment. There are nice links going to their Myspace and even one pointing here which is awfully nice of them. The drawing of the monkey/insect thing looks like it's been done by Jon Owen so that might be an indication of what the album art will look like. Finally, hello there if you clicked here from the official site, we do hope you'll stick around for a bit and read all about The SCCC while they finish off their site. reflectorape indeed 30th JanThe Cub Clubbing Club today posted a rather surreal little short story on their Myspacious. Not sure if we're allowed to plop it on here but even if we're not it's nice to have an archive of everything SCCC related (talking of archives, the news one is down at the moment. Oops). Anyways it is a good read for one of these cold winter nights. If you want to print the story off and read it (it's about 7 pages) you can download it in .doc format here hopefully it'll print out ok. If you're into reading long things off a computer screen then feel free to read it here. It really is a good read so do have a look at it. 30th JanMyspace correspondent Yennj has cometh witheth news of bulletins and such from Seal Cub world. You can vote for The SCCC at NME if you think they deserve a vote, although if you're here then you obviously think they do. So vote away and the band might win a holiday or something similar, we're not sure how these things work. One of the Myspace bulletins mentions that they will be putting up stories, dream sequences and locations of place to visit in the Wirral on their Myspace bloggeriser so go their if you like your news hot off the press. Do stick around here however if you like your information late, misquoted, taken in the wrong way and over analysed. |

This site was made by Simon Lawson in 2007 and he hopes the band likes it. If you want to make something of it, please use the contact page. If you want the real Seal Cub Clubbing Club site, go here. This site is powered by Wordpress and a lot of crappy programming. |
